For those of you who may not know, Brett & I have been in the process of building homes for the past 5 years. Our first project was the Clay Ave. house that we built before we got married. That endeavor proved to be a positive one so we decided to do it again, and we began the Cliff Dr. project which I like to call our "Final Resting Place". Needless to say we have been "under construction" for most of our relationship. What hasn't killed us has made us stronger. During this time we have moved 3 times, once while I was pregnant and once when Addison was only 3 months. Our goal was to be in the Cliff house by Thanksgiving. To our amazement we accomplished our goal and even hosted an intimate Thanksgiving dinner for almost 20 people! We still have a ways to go before we are totally finished.... we have lots of landscape and the pool to finish but we are really enjoying being in our new home. We have wonderful neighbors, and there are lots of kids for Addison to grow up with. We are looking forward to the years ahead of us raising Addison and growing old here. This blog is sort of a chronicle of the process we went through beginning with the "Diamond in the rough" that Brett brought me by to look at. I must really love and trust him because this place was a dump!! We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures of the progress we made from what it was to what it is today.
